Performance Information
Experience the magic touch of Benjamin Grosvenor, one of the most extraordinary pianistic talents of our time, just days before his Carnegie Hall appearance. This recital is a rare opportunity to experience his artistry in an intimate setting. His program features Chopin’s dramatic Sonata No. 2 with its famous funeral march, Ravel’s mesmerizing Gaspard de la nuit – considered among the most technically demanding works in piano literature – and Mussorgsky’s monumental Pictures at an Exhibition. With a sound that shimmers and a touch that transforms every note, it’s no wonder critics say, “everything Grosvenor touches turns to gold” (Classical Source). Don’t miss this chance to witness his virtuosity and profound musicality up close.
